The courses covered range from Microsoft Windows, specific Microsoft Office applications, working in a server-run environment and a number of foundation courses for users who are not familiar with computers.

The Microsoft Office suite is established as the most widely-used set of applications for creating documents, communicating and analyzing business information. As a result, skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access have become essential requirements for employees in today's office environment.

We offer the following courses:

Beginner

The goal of our Beginner's Courses is to teach and assess basic computer concepts and skills so that people can use computer technology in everyday life to develop new social and economic opportunities for themselves. If you are entirely new to computing, we'll teach you the skills you need to begin computing with confidence. Depending on the system you use, the lessons taught in will run on Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 or 2010 and Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or 7.

Computer Basics

Required knowledge: None
Description: We live in an age where computing is an important part of everyday life. From writing a simple text document to communicating and banking, computers influence the way we work and live. This course introduces you to the basics of computing, gets you familiar with the components of a computer, explores operating system basics, and shows you how to use a mouse and a keyboard.

Working with Microsoft Windows

Required knowledge: Computer Basics or similar experience
Description: The Microsoft Windows suite is established as the most widely'used system for creating documents, communicating and analyzing business information. As a result, skills in Windows XP, Vista or 7 have become essential requirements for employees in today's environment. This course teaches you to master skills such as working with folders, using instant messaging service and using photo's, music and video.

The Internet and the World Wide Web

Required knowledge: Computer Basics or similar experience
Description: The Internet can connect you to people, information, and resources around the world. This course shows you how to connect to the Internet, browse Web pages, navigate Web sites, use search engines, and exchange e-mail with others.

Intermediate

If you already have some experience in computing, we will help you develop the further fundamental understanding of computers. From using the Internet, to sending e-mail, to creating a résumé, our teachers help you develop the essential skills to compute efficiently.

Productivity Programs

Required knowledge: Computer Basics or similar experience
Description: Nowadays, there is a large number of software applications available. In this course, you will explore the most common productivity software applications used in homes and businesses. At the end of the course you will be able to use the fundamentals of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and databases.

Working with Microsoft Windows in a server-run environment

Required knowledge: Computer Basics, Using Microsoft Windows or similar experience
Description: Most companies use a server-based network to centralize the management of data. Knowing how to get your way through in the server environment requires particular skills. This course teaches you and your employees how to deal with authenticating, saving data on a server, printing to a print server and other server-based actions you use on a desktop.
